IT Chapter Two Isn’t Scary Enough

Published

on

In the sequel to 2017’s It, 27 years have passed since the kids in the Losers’ Club thwarted Pennywise. Now, the heroes are all grown up and the dancing clown is back to terrorize them again, but this time his scares aren’t quite as effective as they once were.

The adult versions of the Losers’ Club members are haunted by the memories of their youth. But while the movie draws a clear line between the trauma the characters experienced in the first film to their lives in the present day, it doesn’t quite land the emotional catharsis they should experience as they confront their past. Even worse, the horror just isn’t there.

The various ghouls that besiege the grown-up Losers’ Club, all visions of Pennywise, are silly, textureless creations. Their scares are more gross than chilling, leaving little impact once they’re out of sight. Pennywise flutters in and out of the film with his glowing eyes and drooling maw, before completely fizzling into dullness with the ending.

Bad Endings Are Defiantly A Thing In IT Chapter Two

Bill is one of Stephen King’s characters that stands out as a fairly obvious avatar for the author for one reason in particular: Both men have let certain readers down with the ways they’ve chosen to wrap up their stories. So it’s particularly delightful to see King make a cameo appearance as the character that disparages Bill’s writing.

It should also be noted that It has one of King’s most controversial book endings, and many fans wondered how the movie would handle those final moments. It Chapter Two definitely departs from original finale.

What If Couples From Your Favorite Shows Had Sex Tapes In The Real World?

Your Favorite Shows

Remember the season 8 episode of Friends where Ross reveals that he has a videotape of him and Rachel getting intimate? Well, what if that video actually existed? Would it become a best selling porno?

To find out Ross and Rachel’s sex tape could be profitable, as well as other favorite TV couples, Auffin consulted parody-porn impresario Lee Roy Myers, a creator of WoodRocket.com and the mind behind such titles as Game of Bones and Spongeknob SquareNuts. Myers rated each pairing as if the characters were real people and their shows were popular reality shows.

Myers says” “Ross and Rachel were the most popular couple on that show throughout its run. When they first kissed, it was a giant deal, so imagine showing them having sex — it can only be a magnification of the first time they kissed. It would probably be the best seller of all time”.

Myers also says: “Michael was really great. People loved him. Going against it: He’s also very awkward, so it couldn’t have been a very exciting sex tape. And I think people would expect that he may still be wearing his suit in the sex scene, things like that. Nothing too sexy about that.”

Myers says: “It’s a cross between Buffy and The Mupperts. Weird. Fun. High energy. And like the show, it probably ended horribly. People would be eager from all that buildup, but then be disappointed at the end. I think it’s a popular tape that people are bad-mouthing after.”

Why 13 Reasons Why Should have Stopped At Season 1

13 Reasons Why Season 1

Sometimes a TV show should not continue beyond it’s first season. For indisputable proof, look no further than 13 Reasons Why, a drama about a teen, Hannah Baker, who died by suicide, that should have ended immediately after completing her story in season one.

The first season’s success led to a second and, as of last Friday, a third that devotes its 13 episodes to resolving a mystery only tangentially related to the show’s initial concern: why Hannah Baker killed herself. The question that dominates season three is: Who is responsible for the death of a character absolutely no one felt compassion for?

In season three, Bryce Walker is dead. Bryce Walker: the serial rapist who raped Hannah and never faced serious consequences for the crimes he committed. Bryce Walker: Perhaps the least liked character on 13 Reasons Why. Bryce Walker: a classic rich, white, male villain who, in the first two seasons, seemed like every other teen-show baddie, except worse.

In a lot of ways, 13 Reasons Why season three is a redemption tour for Bryce, played by Justin Prentice, whom we learn via flashbacks was trying, prior to his death, to learn from his bad behavior and become a better person, albeit with mixed results. but some characters are beyond salvation in the eyes of the audience, and ultimately the season was all the more unsatisfying for it.

This Was The Trickiest Part Of Filming Harry Potter’s 3rd Movie

Filming Harry Potter

It was 15 years ago when Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban hit movie theaters. it remians among fans one of the most beloved movies in the massive franchise, thanks in no small part to the special effects that made the magical world possible.

While there were plenty of impressive elements to this movie – like the haunting deathly dementors or the high soaring noble hippogriff – the hardest magical moment to pull off, according to effects supervisor Roger Guyett, was Hermoine’s Time-Turner, the pendant she wore to travel back in time.

“[Director Alfonso Cuaron] really wanted to capture the spirit of seeing time reversing itself, circling around you, “Guyett explained. |The shot, designed in part by our cinematographer Michal Seresin, required a tremendous amount of planning, because the sun was moving at a different rate in the foreground and the background.”

In order to make it appear as if Harry and Hermoine are staying still as time moves backwards around them, the shoot required multiple cameras. “We had the original camera moving with the main characters, and to get everyone speeding up in the background, we had to shoot multiple [asses with a motion-control rig.” Guyett said.

“In all the activity happening behind [ Harry and Hermoine], we can get everything moving as fast as we like, even though both sets of actors are moving in normal time.” Guyett continued. “It sounds relatively trivial until you actually figure out how to do it. So we ended up using plenty of miniatures – miniature clock tower, miniature grounds – really relying on graphics and planning.”
