hey! Auffin is open. here's what you can do on day one.
ask for a tool
put a blank node on the canvas and type what you want. "a tip splitter". "a synth i can play with my keyboard". you watch it build, then it works.
making a tool needs a free account. you get forty a month on the free plan.
wire tools together
drag a wire from a tool onto empty canvas and ask for the next one. it arrives already plugged in. change the first and the rest update.
pro tip: shift-click a tool while you're asking, and the new one uses it.
change anything
don't like a button? tell the tool. we build the new version and try it first, so if the change fails you keep the one that worked.
copy and paste (⌘C, ⌘V)
my fav. copy a tool, paste it into any other project, and it works there. no rebuild, and it costs nothing.
seven starters
not sure what to ask for? open a starter and take it apart. the moving postcard, the egg timer, node's dance class, a pixel platformer and three more.
good to know
- using a tool is free. only making or changing one counts
- ⌘K finds every action
- right-click a tool to rename it
- ⌘Z works, and ⌘D duplicates
- your projects save to your account, on every device
- share a link to any project, and anyone can open and run it
- open a workflow as an app (⌘↵)
