Privacy notice: the Auffin waitlist
Last updated: 8 October 2026.
This notice covers the waitlist on auffin.com. The Auffin app has its own privacy policy.
Who we are
Auffin is run by Lovish Saini, a sole trader trading as Auffin. I decide what happens to the data in this notice, which makes me the controller under UK GDPR. Write to hello@auffin.com with any question about it.
What we collect, and why
When you join the waitlist we keep:
- your email address,
- which form you used (for example, the one at the top of the page),
- the time you joined, which is when you agreed to hear from us,
- anything you type in the "what would you make?" box, if you choose to.
We use your email for two emails: a hello now, to say you're on the list, and one when Auffin opens. We read what you typed in the box to learn what people want to make. We never sell any of it, and we never use it for advertising.
Our legal basis is your consent, which you give when you send the form. You can take it back at any time.
To stop spam, the server counts sign-ups per connection for an hour. It keeps a scrambled code that changes every day, never your IP address.
Who stores it for us
- Supabase stores the waitlist, in Ireland (EU).
- Cloudflare runs the server that receives the form.
- Vercel hosts the website and counts its visits.
- Resend sends the emails.
Cloudflare, Vercel and Resend can handle data outside the UK and EU. Where they do, they are bound by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard approved for UK transfers.
How long we keep it
Until six months after Auffin launches, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. Then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@auffin.com and we will answer within one month. Every email we send has a link to unsubscribe.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Your browser
The page sets no cookies and uses no advertising tools. To see how the page is doing, Vercel Web Analytics counts visits: which pages are seen, the site a visitor came from, and their country, browser and kind of device. It also counts each waitlist sign-up and which form it came from, never the email. It sets nothing in your browser and cannot tell who you are. If you change the live tools on the page, your browser keeps those changes so they are still there when you come back. That stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clear your browser's site data to remove it.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters for you, we will tell you by email first.
